Mission & Philosophy

Three children playing and working together

Director’s Welcome

Dear Friends,

Thank you for spending time to get to know SEED.

At SEED, we are committed to giving your child a most memorable childhood. We give him/her a foundation to enable them to make their dreams come true. We have a talented and creative faculty highly capable of teaching and guiding children through their first experience at school.

We are a school that never puts a cap on innovation in terms of our curriculum, never compromises on quality, and does not hesitate to go all the way when it comes to fulfilling our mission to provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for your children.

Since 2004, SEED has impacted the lives of thousands of children and we pledge to continuously offer quality childcare programs to our communities.

If you are a current parent, I look forward to seeing you at one of our centres; if you are a prospective parent, I extend an invitation to stop by for a visit to your nearest SEED centre to see our mission in action.

With best wishes always,

Jaya Sastri

Our Story

Three children playing and working together

SEED started in May 2004 at its present Adyar centre to gift children a memorable childhood. Since then, SEED, with the help of the community and parent support, has grown and is now present in several locations in Chennai and across South India.

SEED is an effort to show that quality education makes a difference. Our ultimate goal is to help children apply school-learned knowledge to real life situations, thereby empowering them with the ability to transfer knowledge to action.

Jaya Sastri started SEED with the intention to bridge the gap between the latest research in Early Childhood education and what is being offered in India. She designed SEED to offer world-class development facilities for children.

Ms. Sastri has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and over 20 years of experience in the field of child development abroad. She was the Director of Programs at Headstart in the U.S.A. She has also founded and successfully ran her own international school in Nigeria.
